Albert Hall, Nottingham
Conductor: Mark Heron

The Planets Suite

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon, so what better way to mark this than with the ever-popular Planets Suite. It reflects the composer's interest in astrology, rather than in astronomy, so each movement depicts a different aspect of the human condition.
We are grateful to the University of Nottingham Astrophysics department for their assistance with the presentation of this concert.
